This page covers our firearm shipping policy, shipping times, order tracking and returns. Please read it before you place an order so you know exactly what to expect.
Our Firearm Shipping Policy
All firearms ship only to a federally licensed (FFL) dealer. We ship fully insured, with tracking and an adult signature at the dealer. Orders are packed in the original factory box inside a plain outer carton. See our FFL transfer policy for the full step-by-step process.
Shipping Times
- Processing: 1 to 3 business days after we receive and verify your dealer’s license.
- Transit: typically 2 to 5 business days within the contiguous United States.
- Holidays and weekends: orders placed on weekends or holidays are processed the next business day.
Order Tracking
When your order ships, we email you a tracking number. You can also see your order status any time in My Account. If tracking has not updated for three business days, contact us and we will open a trace with the carrier.
Gun Return Policy
Because firearms must be transferred through a licensed dealer, our gun return policy is different from most stores:
- Inspect at pickup. Inspect your firearm at your dealer before you complete the transfer. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, do not complete the transfer. Contact us within 3 business days and we will arrange a return to us through your dealer at our cost.
- After transfer. Once a firearm has been transferred to you, it is considered used and cannot be returned for a refund. Manufacturing defects are covered by the Pioneer Arms factory warranty, and we are happy to help you start a claim.
- Denied or delayed transfers. If your background check is denied or your dealer cannot legally transfer the item, we will refund your purchase minus return shipping and a 15% restocking fee once the firearm is returned to us unfired and complete.
Cancellations

Firearm Shipping Policy for Accessories
Non-firearm items, such as magazines or braces, can ship directly to your address where legal. If you order accessories with a firearm, we may ship them together to your dealer or separately to you, and we will tell you which in your shipping email.
Shipping Restrictions
We cannot ship firearms or magazines to locations where they are prohibited. Some states limit magazine capacity or restrict AK-pattern pistols. If we cannot legally complete your order, we will contact you and issue a refund.
Damaged or Lost Packages
All firearm shipments are insured. If your package arrives damaged or is lost in transit, contact us right away. We will file the claim with the carrier and either replace your order or refund it in full.
