Description
The Quad Rail Micro Hellpup CORE is Pioneer Arms’ smallest AK pistol wrapped in a full aluminum Picatinny quad rail, built to carry lights, lasers, grips and optics. Built by Pioneer Arms in Radom, Poland on licensed Kalashnikov blueprints, this 7-inch 7.62×39 AK pistol is in stock at DK Gun and ships to your local FFL dealer.
Quad Rail Micro Hellpup CORE Overview
With a 7-inch barrel, the Micro Hellpup is the most compact AK in the Pioneer Arms lineup. It keeps the full-power 7.62×39 cartridge in a package short enough for a vehicle bag, a truck safe or close-quarters training, and the booster-style muzzle device helps manage the flash and blast that comes with a short barrel.
This is the CORE configuration with a traditional rear trunnion. It keeps the profile clean, the weight down and the price low, which makes this model one of the best entry points into the Hellpup family.
The aluminum 1913 quad rail gives you rail space at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock, so you can mount a weapon light, vertical or angled grip, laser and optic at the same time. Rail covers can be added for a more comfortable hold.
Like every Pioneer Arms Hellpup, it is produced in buildings once used by Poland’s Radom military arsenal. A forged front trunnion, front sight gas block and the traditional AK optics side rail give you the durability and mounting options AK owners expect.

Range Day and Ownership Tips
Before your first trip to the range, field strip the pistol, wipe away the factory preservative and put a light coat of oil on the bolt carrier rails, the bolt and the inside of the receiver. Function check the safety and trigger with an empty chamber, then load your magazines. Most owners find that steel-cased and brass-cased ammunition both run well, but it is worth testing a few brands to see which groups best in your gun.
Short barrels create a lot of noise and flash, so wear quality ear protection, and consider doubling up with plugs and muffs indoors. Start at 7 to 10 yards, confirm your sights or optic, and then move back as your confidence grows. A sling or brace, where legal, makes longer strings of fire far more comfortable.
After shooting, clean the bore and chamber, scrub the gas piston and gas tube, and re-oil the moving parts. If you use corrosive surplus ammunition, clean the same day with hot soapy water or a dedicated solvent. Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition stored separately, and keep a simple log of rounds fired so you know when to replace springs and other wear parts.
